What is peer2peer?

It's a marketplace that connects individual buyers and sellers of precious metals in their local area.

Why use this instead of coin shops?

Coin shops may not have the cash to buy your metal when you need to sell, may refuse smaller transactions, or may offer prices well below what the market supports. As a seller on this app, you can ask for more than a shop would offer. As a buyer, you can often pay less than retail.

How does it work?

You enter what you want to buy or sell and at what price, and you appear as an anonymous dot on a map. Other traders near you who are looking for what you're offering can see you and reach out through the app's messaging system. You agree on terms, then meet in person to complete the transaction.

How much does it cost?

The app is free to use. You can create listings, search for deals, but in order to interact with other traders, we charge a monthly subscription fee of $15.

Is it safe to meet strangers to trade precious metals?

The app includes safety guidance from the administrator on best practices for in-person meetings. Common sense tips like meeting in a public place during daylight hours are provided inside the app.

How do I know I'm getting the best price?

First, you set your own prices. The app also shows you aggregate data, like the average asking price for a 1 oz Silver Eagle among sellers in your area, so you can make informed decisions before you negotiate.

Is my personal information safe?

Your personal information is protected. We don't share your name or other identifying details with other traders. Your location is only shown as a general area on the map, not your exact position.

Peer2Peer Precious Metals Exchange ("Peer2Peer", "we", "our", or "us") operates a mobile application that connects local buyers and sellers of physical precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum.
